The Problem with Legacy Simulation Tools
Conventional simulation approaches usually offer engineers two options, each with clear limitations:
The Idealized Black Box
Stoichiometric / Yield Reactors. The engineer specifies exactly what comes out based on a known recipe. It does not calculate how to achieve it or optimize the geometry; it simply balances the mass.
Detailed Kinetic / CFD Models
Kinetic Setting up a rigorous kinetic model requires entering massive matrices of rate constants, activation energies, and diffusion coefficients. Rigorous kinetic models depend heavily on complete, accurate data.
Because of this, companies spend millions buying third-party licensed reactor designs. They choose rigid, decades-old designs because they are proven, which can limit innovation, energy efficiency and sustainability right at the heart of the plant.
